Read | Stop Everything

Stop everything because we have to take time to Praise God. We must celebrate who he is, what he is doing, and all that he will do. He has not only given followers of Christ the promise of eternal life with him, but he offers an abundant life today. It is a life full of blessings and incredible things that would be hard to imagine if we had not already been given a taste of his goodness.

What about to say may shock you but listen, not all created beings have been offered the grace to live with God and have his Holy Spirit live within them! Satan and other angels rebelled against God within heaven, and they were not offered the same grace that God has offered to us, so stop everything, think about the significance of his grace. He has chosen you to live a life with him, which, when we reflect on it, is astounding! If this incredible fact does not humble you, then I am not sure you see things correctly, so stop everything and sit in wonder of his amazing grace!

Everywhere – from east to west – praise the name of the Lord.

Psalms 113:3

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

AMEN

Prayer Requests

Now that we have been positioned well to see God’s incredible offer of life to each of us, we can now pray from a deep sense of gratitude. So join me in praying for the following items.

Covenant Bay Leadership

We understand God’s heart to see all come into a growing relationship with himself. We also understand that the ministry at Covenant Bay is only a small piece of a global movement! What God desires to do in this world and in each individual’s life is far more significant than any of us can comprehend. So we are left with the simple task of listening and obeying! Since we want to follow God well, pray with me that Covenant Bay’s leadership will hear well God’s promptings and have the courage to follow him well.

Soft Hearts

At the core of ministry is God working on the hearts of people. This is a task that none of us can do. It is God’s task, and from time to time, he lets us act bigger than we are and uses our words and actions to change others’ hearts. I believe the most significant thing we can do is pray that God will soften people’s hearts so that the possibility of them choosing to follow Christ will be tilted in their favour.

Let’s Praise God!

Finally, will you praise God with me and then ask him a question with me? He is doing something incredible. I am unable to see the whole of what he is doing, but I get glimpses of it daily. Praise God for the good things he is doing today and also praise him for what you can see, and praise him for what you can’t see! Finally, ask God to reveal to you what he is doing. As you move about your day have eyes that are searching for God’s work today. I am confident that he wants to show it to you and so that you can celebrate with him!

Thanks for praying and praising God with me. Since we know there is no ministry apart from Christ, please pray with urgency and expectation. I will talk to you next week.

Hard Conversations with Scripture

Hard Conversations with Scripture

It’s early; kids are typically not awake yet. I sit down at the kitchen table, and I begin my day with a hard conversation with scripture.
