Read | Fix Your Thoughts
For many, peace seems to escape them; like trying to hold water in their hands, it just keeps dripping out. I remember being scared when I was a child but as soon as I was in the presence of my Mom or Dad suddenly I had peace. We were naive to think that our parents could make anything better and safe much of life is beyond any adult’s control. Now we are naive to believe that God can’t. No problem or situation is beyond God’s power, and God is for you. He loves you!
As you fix your thoughts on God, ensure they are true thoughts. That what you are thinking is in line with what scripture teaches us about God. God is supreme; God is loving; God knows the details about you! Fix your thoughts on God – peace will come as a result!
Join me in praying for three things this week.
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Isaiah 26:3
Today is a day we remember indigenous people and the hardships they have experienced as a result of unjust treatment by other Canadians. Let’s pray that truth will be spoken and that reconciliation will come.
Prayer Requests
- Give thanks to God for his provision throughout our history, today and in our future. He has always been so incredibly faithful.
- Give thanks to God for working in the hearts and minds of campers far beyond the weeks of summer camps. I am so grateful that he is leading, guiding and helping them make good decisions!
- Give thanks to God for sustaining our health and healing us when we are sick or hurt!
Thanks for praying with me. Be sure to fix your thoughts on God. There is no ministry apart from Christ. Pray with urgency and expectation. I will chat with you next week.
