FAQs

Parent Info

We would be thrilled to spend time with your child this summer at Covenant Bay. Day Camp is a great introduction to the camp and is a lot of fun for kids! Your children will get to do many fun activities such as canoeing, swimming, crafts, singing, and so much more! Your children’s safety is important to us. So we have partnered with the Alberta Camping Association to ensure that all our facilities and programs operate with the campers’ safety as one of our priorities. This means all our staff are well trained and our activities and facilities are safe.

Sign-in, Sign-out

Because child safety is so important to us, we will not allow your child to leave with anyone other than who they came with or someone you have given permission to and notified us of.

Bringing Someone Else's Child

If you are bringing someone else’s child to day camp, the parents must pre-register their child. If the child was not pre-registered and the parents have not sent the necessary information plus a written signed permission note, we can not accept the child into the day camp program until this documentation is produced. This is an industry standard among organizations working with children and a requirement of any insurance company, including ours.

We look forward to spending time with your child and the friends they bring. Besides their friends, there are some other important items to bring. Be sure to click on the link “What to Bring.”

What To Bring

We are often asked, “What do I send with my child?” The reality is there is not a lot they will need, but here is a list of a few items that are wise to bring, and many of these items are pending on the weather:

  • Water bottle
  • Jacket or rain jacket
  • Proper footwear (shoes, rain boots, sandals)
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Snacks (we recommend 2! Without nuts please!)
  • Any medication that needs to be taken during the day
  • Written Permission to go home with some else if desired

Please leave these things at home:

  • technology
  • valuables
  • cash
  • anything that you wouldn’t want broken/dirty (please leave special toys etc. at home!)

Read about our Cell Phone Policy here.

All campers will need to register online. Email or call us with further questions.

Allergies / Medical

We collect allergy and medical information during registration. Our cooks are able to accommodate nearly all dietary and allergy needs. If we are unable to provide adequate meals on all occasions, we will work directly with you to find a solution! All medications are collected at registration and will be administered by our designated staff person. We have lots of fun, and sometimes accidents happen. If your child is injured or needs medical attention, we will attempt to notify you before taking them to an appropriate hospital or medi-center. All ambulance expenses will be paid by the parent or guardian of the camper.

Payment & Deposit Info

Registration is not complete until all registration forms are completed by a parent or legal guardian. Payment can be made during registration or by cash on-site.

Our fee structure has recently changed! We want to offer families the option to choose the amount they pay for camp based on what they are able to contribute. Families are able to cover 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25% of camp fees and the rest of the expenses will be covered by donations.
