Day Camp Coordinator, will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day to day operations of the program.
  • Finding and implementing the appropriate curriculum
  • Leading or arranging leaders for all day camp activities
  • Working with registrar to ensure all necessary day camper information is collected and filed.
  • Give direction to all volunteer or paid day camp staff
  • Work with the program director to ensure proper promotion is done.
  • Submit report on day camp to Executive director at the conclusion of the program.
  • Equivalent of 6 weeks full time work, with 4 weeks running the day camp program and 10 preparation days prior to the start of day camps.
  • Pay will be finalized in march as we are continuing to seek funding. Estimated pay $10/hour at 8hours/day for 30 days= $2400 for the summer.

Activities Coordinator - This person will be in charge of assistating the director of ministries in the following area’s.

  • ensuring the schedule is followed.
  • assisting or leading activities.
  • preparing activities and games for students
  • resourcing other activity leaders
  • giving direction to staff and campers
  • establishing a spirit of enthusiasm, fun and participation.
  • trouble shoot scheduling issues (ie, rain)
  • Be on site to supervise campers and junior staff.

Senior Cabin Leaders - if you are 17 years of age or older, are a follower of Jesus Christ, like working with kids and love camping then we might have an opportunity for you. The position pays huge eternal dividends plus you get free room and board. All we need is 10 to 12 counsellors for each of the camps for July and August so consider applying now before all the positions are taken. Oh yeah, there is also a $150 per week honorarium available to you.

Junior Cabin Leaders - if you are between the ages of 14 and 16, are a follower of Jesus Christ, like working with kids, we might have an opportunity for you during July and August. Consider doing ministry for God in a lake resort setting where we supply the room and board. Couldn’t get much better.

Lifeguard - If you love water, swimming, God and kids then you could be our next Lifeguard for July and August. All you need is the desire, a Lifeguard Certificate and to be willing to work in a Christian environment. We supply the room and board and $30 per day.

Cook or Cook’s assistant – if you love cooking, kids, a camp atmosphere and are a follower of Jesus Christ, then we have an opportunity for you during July and August. We supply room and board, a lake resort and $90 per day for the cook and $60 per day for the assistant.

Mountain Bike Instructor - Love to bike and teach others? We are looking for an individual who is competent with maintaining a bike, road and trail safety, and able to bike several miles each day.

Boat Driver/Ski Instructor – We are looking for one possibly two individuals to teach water skiing and wake boarding. These people will be trained to operate the boat, water and boat safety, teaching skills and proper boat maintenance.

Worship Leader – We are looking for an individual who is a natural leader and able to pull together a worship team from the on-site staff, a competent musician, able to teach the meaning of worship and how to worship to a variety of ages. Keep chapel area clean and tidy as well as music filing system. Able to use powerpoint.

Office Assistant – This individual will serve as the camp registrar, assist the director in office tasks, keep a organized work space, stock and maintain the canteen, and run errands for director and cooks as required.

Maintenance Assistant – This person will assist the Maintenance personal with the routine work such as grass cutting, stocking bathrooms with paper products. This persons day to day work will be a vary.

Games Leader – This person will plan, prepare and lead all wide games, morning field game and an afternoon activity.

Arts director – This person will plan, prepare, and lead artistic activities that campers can participate in and be challenged by. This person will also work in conjunction with the ministry director to develop an arts program at CBBC.
