FPP – Approved

February 22nd, 2010

This past Saturday Feb 20th was the CBBC AGM. We are pleased to announce that the Functional Program Plan (FPP) was approved in principle. We are eager to get started this year on the many improvements that are planned for 2010. Improvements will include, improved office space, water front, archery area, 2 new large tents, boat launch, chapel lighting, and fire pit seating.

With the many improvements this year and years to come (see our FPP on our home page), we recognize that property and facility improvements are only done to serve the mission and ministry of CBBC. Without a strong purpose behind all that we do including programs and physical improvements we are simply lost. With that said it is out of our mission and love for people that we are growing the number and type of programs that we offer here at CBBC. New programs include “Retreat” – a weekend of solitude, Base Camp, Young Adult Camp, Men’s Wilderness Retreat and Day Camp. Programs that are in their second year include Family fun and service weekends, Sr. High Fall Retreat.  We are excited about the many unique ways we can full fill  our mission and see God work powerfully in the lives of people.

Covenant Bay Bible Camp exists to promote a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by providing opportunities for fellowship, worship and instruction in discipleship. Join us in our adventure through participation, prayer, volunteering, and/or financial support. These are exciting times for all of us and we are thrilled about your interest and hopefully being able to serve you in the near future. See you at Camp!

Staff Applications are ready

January 25th, 2010

I have had a number of emails inquiring about the staff applications, which gave me all the more motivation to get these updated and ready to go – ASAP.

Check the links at the bottom of the jobs page

We will be applying for a number of grants that will allow us to hire some students this summer. Grants will be made for a day camp coordinator, office assistant, activities coordinator and maintenance assistant. More pay info will be posted on these programs as we get information back on the grants, though we will now begin taking applications for these positions.

All staff are required to have a criminal record checks and a child intervention checks (or the equivalent from your home province) done and submitted prior to staff training.
