Staff

Going to camp can be full of anticipation, nerves, and excitement for both kids and parents. Your child will be well cared for by staff that have been chosen and trained to care for your child. All staff must submit a criminal record check, a child intervention check and two references along with their application. We care a great deal and so we are a member of Winning Kids inc. and a significant portion of our staff training is from Winning Kids. Staff are trained in first aid and have a number of other certifications based on the activities they lead and participate in.

Accommodations

Each cabin or tent group has one or two leaders. Our cabins sleep 6 campers each on bunk beds, with each building containing two cabins separated by a door. Our wall tents are 14x16 and sleep 6 campers. Each tent is on top of a deck platform and has cots for all. Nights can get chilly and so an extra blanket is wise to send along. We have extra blankets on hand as well.

Allergies and Medical

We collect allergy and medical information during registration. Our cooks are excellent and will accommodate your campers regarding special diet or allergies. All medications are collected at registration and will be administered by our designated staff person. We have lots of fun and sometimes accidents happen. If your child is injured or needs medical attention we will attempt to notify you prior to taking them to the Wetaskiwin hospital.

Chapel

Twice a day we gather for a time of worship. Our speakers bring the bible truths to life through stories, games, and interaction with the campers. After our morning chapel time, cabin and tent groups gather to have a conversation about what the speaker shared. It is normal for campers to have a significant experience within the chapel times and morning conversations. Encourage your child to continue to reflect and converse about this experience with you or another mentor.

Financial Support

We believe that what God does here matters. If your child needs financial help please contact us and we will ensure your child is able to come. We also run a bible memorization program which gives free camp to every child able to memorize the verses!

A place For You

Some parents ask if they can stay the week their child is at camp and help out. Parents are always welcome and there are plenty of projects and tasks to help out with. We ask that during the camp session that parents who have not been screened and trained to lead our campers respect their role as volunteer/visitor.
