Prayer Update - July 7, 2016

Junior Camp is nearly complete. We've had 6 campers come to know Jesus as their saviour and many others recommit their lives and others encouraged to continue to walk closey with Jesus.

  • Praise God for the campers who have committed their lives to Jesus this week. Pray for the middle campers coming next week that their hearts will be prepared for what God has for them!
  • Praise God for a full staff and the amazing grants we have to pay them. Pray that God will sustain them and they too will grow in their faith.
  • Pray for our cooks who spend countless hours in the kitchen serving some amazing food!
  • Praise God for the continued work and forward momentum with the building project. Pray for the building committee as they review the first draft of the building plans. Stay tuned on July 18 the plans will be posted on our website.
  • Praise God for the many supporters signing up for the regular monthly giving campaign. With regular money coming into operations it will be beneficial as we project expenses vs income.
  • Pray for God's protection on our campers and staff from physical injury and from Satan who does not want us to be successful as we promote a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Thanks again for your prayers. God is good and is working powerfully here in this place!

Semi Annual Meeting

2:00pm, July 30, 2016

At Family Camp 2 we will be holding a semi-annual meeting. At this meeting there will be a presentation regarding the construction of the new accommodations building. Tricon Development Inc. out of Lacomb, AB, has been selected to develop plans for this building. Tricon has been instructed to design the building so that if necessary due to funding it can be completed in two stages upon completion of stage one the building will be able to be used for accommodations. The plans will be ready by July 18 and will be circulated to our membership for review. Be sure to like our to get the latest details.

Recommendation Coming Soon

After a review of the plans Covenant Bay Bible Camp Society Board of Directors intends to make a recommendation that, if approved, will allow for construction to begin in late August or early September of 2016 with a completion date May 2017. This recommendation will be circulated with the plans by July 18, 2016.

Who can attend the Semi-Annual Meeting?

You do not need to be registered for Family Camp to be a part of this meeting nor do you need to be a member of Covenant Bay. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and make their voice heard. Those who are a member of a Covenant Church in Alberta or have individual membership of Covenant Bay will be asked to vote on the recommendation the Board will be making.

Covenant Bay would also like to invite everyone to attend Family Camp for the weekend (or just the day). Please reach out to us if you plan on being here for the meeting and would like to come early for lunch or stay for supper. This helps our kitchen staff plan accordingly.

Prayer Update - June 9, 2016

Praise God for an amazing Fundraising event last w/e at Covenant Bay. It was a beauty of a day as we gathered to celebrate the ministry of Covenant Bay. It started with a Fun Run/Walk where 20 participants, covered 5 or 10 km to raised over $6,500 for the group housing project. That was followed by the Fundraising Dinner and Auction where  over $75,000 was given to Covenant Bay's building project and operations.

Praise God for those that orchestrated this event and those that gathered  to make it a huge success!!  God again was present blessing us all. Praise Him!!

Pray for the Ladies Retreat this weekend at Covenant Bay.  Pray for God to speak to and through those that are attending and speaking. Pray for much growth to happen in the lives of the women who gather.

Pray for the Board as the meet next week on Tuesday.  Pray for wisdom as decisions are being made regarding the Group Housing Project for presentation to the AGM Semi-annual meeting on July 30th.

Pray for summer camps that start soon.  Pray as decisions are made on the hiring of staff and for campers as they prepare for coming to camp.

God bless each of you. Thanks for the gift of prayer that you give to Covenant Bay so generously.
