Here is the lastest news as of 1:30pm today.

Birch Fumigators from Edmonton will be sending out their K9 unit to us. The dogs along with their handlers will be able to detect precicly which buildings have bed bugs and which are free and clear. Here is a bit of information on the K9 unit from Birch Fumigators website. We will have a report sometime this evening which will give us a plan of action. We will share with you this plan of action and keep you informed through the plan via the website. 

For your information here is a sheet from alberta health services regarding bedbugs and what to do if you are concerned about being in contact with them. 

For those anxious about upcoming camps you can rest assurd that we are doing everything in our power to create safe enviorment for all. We will have a safe place free from bed bugs prior to resuming our camping season. Thank you for all your prayers and we will be sure to continue to up date our website through the coming days. 

Postpone Junior Camp

We have discovered a case of bed bugs just this afternoon at the camp.  We are working with the Public Health Unit for direction and instruction as to how to address the "clean up" of these bugs.  Please see this link www.badbedbugs.com/ for further information concerning this issue and what you can do to either prevent and/or destroy them.  We sincerely apologize that you are having to deal with this matter.  We appreciate your understanding and patience as we strive to make camp a safe, healthy and clean environment for your children.  If you have any questions in regards to this matter, please don't hesitate to send us an note.
