Kyra, 20 years old, CBBC staff for 7 years
This past summer I helped out with taking care of the LIP's. (LIP stands for Leadership Investment Program) The friendships I made with the the LIPS were incredible. Some of the kids that were in the program this summer have been campers in the past, and I was stoked as they stepped up to be staff. Some were deeper in their faith then others, as the summer went on they all learned so much about God, the bible, his kingdom, how to serve others,and what it means to follow Jesus.
It was a great group of kids and I was so proud to see them grow in their faith, as leaders and to also see how they interacted with the kids attending camp, they showed great amounts of love and patience. And they took pride in helping provide a fun, safe place for everyone involved.

The summers that I have spent at Covenant Bay have truly made an impact on my walk with God, especially as I went through Jr. High and High School.
Though those years have been hard in many ways, the life giving community that I have found in the camp has helped me through it all;
each camper, staff and speaker has had an impact on my life.
Through the speakers each summer, I have been challenged on what it really means to live out God’s call for my life and I have been able to find spiritual,
and even mental healing year after year.
Being a staff member, I have been able to form close friendships with some amazing people who bring out the best in me and challenge me on my spiritual journey.
This camp, and each person who has been a part of it, has been a community and a family to me for many years, and in this community
I have been able to become who I am. I have been able to share my testimony, and last summer I was baptized during Sr. High camp.
These were pivotal moments for me in my faith walk and I saw my connection with the camp and the people grow.
Each year that I have come back to camp, I always wonder to myself: what does God have in store for me here? And I have learned that I know the answer to that question.
God has greatness in store for me: every summer, forever and always.
